Holiday Campaign exceeds 2 million Facebook likes!
Initiative’s
Holiday Campaign for Free The Children has exceeded all expectations as the
charity’s We Day Facebook page has now received more than two million likes.
The
page has been ‘liked’ by over 1.25m people in just one calendar month - more
than 250,000 over our one million target.
The
global advertising campaign calling for people to visit Facebook and ‘like’ www.facebook.com/wedaybegan on 26th December when the number of ‘likes’ already stood at 850,000.
For
every ‘like’ the page received, $1 was donated to Free The Children by its
partners. During the campaign up to 40,000 people were ‘liking’ the page in any
24 hour period.
We
have already helped raise $1.25m in just one month and there are still a few
days before the campaign ends on 31st January, when the final tally
will be taken and Initiative’s Holiday Campaign can be chalked up as a
resounding success.
We
have also helped Free The Children achieve a new world record for the most
number of ‘likes’ for a non-profit organisation’s Facebook page.
